MLS side New York City FC are reportedly trying to make a blockbuster signing by bringing Pars Saint-Germain star Neymar to the club at the same time as Inter Miami FC have signed his former team mates Lionel Messi and Sergio Busquets.

Neymar didn’t have a great season at PSG during the 22/23 campaign as he only played 20 games in the league but he still managed to score 18 goals in all competitions as well as getting 17 assists as PSG just about won the league title with RC Lens finishing one point behind them.

Cristophe Galtier has since been sacked and replaced by Luis Enrique who managed Neymar whilst he was at Barcelona but the Brazilian’s future is still in doubt at the French club.

He has been linked with several clubs with Saudi Arabia possibly trying to get him to come to their league but now the MLS are competing with Asian country to try and bring the biggest stars.

City’s football group own New York City FC so it would be a serious show of intent from them if Neymar joined the club who currently sit in 20th place in the MLS.

It could also open up the possibility of Neymar joining Manchester City for a short-term loan in January due to the league stopping however that would appear unlikely if he does go to America.
