Jurgen Klopp expresses his delight, stating that he is ‘over the moon’ to welcome back Mohamed Salah for Liverpool’s Premier League clash with Brentford on Saturday.

Salah is expected to be included in the Reds’ matchday squad for the first time since January 1 as Klopp’s side travel to Gtech Community Stadium, having recovered from a muscle injury suffered on international duty last month.

The 31-year-old is making a timely return as Liverpool strive to secure its position at the summit of the Premier League table.

Additionally, he rejoins the team as they gear up for the Carabao Cup final, aiming to clinch the title, while also harbouring aspirations of advancing in both the Emirates FA Cup and Europa League.

“No doubt about that,” Klopp told reporters. “I’m over the moon that Mo is training and he looks really sharp.

“Thank God they did the job, but having him available is a massive boost, on and off the pitch, definitely.

“It’s nothing to do with the numbers he produces, just his personality and the guy. He is on fire. He wants to get started immediately and so yeah, let’s see.”

The German added: “He’s the most professional player I’ve ever met. He dealt, workload-wise, really well with it, he used it. Let’s see what he produces.”

Salah has 18 goals and nine assists in 27 appearances across all competitions for Liverpool this season.
