Liverpool are currently contending with an extensive injury list as they approach a pivotal period in what appears to be Jurgen Klopp’s final season at Anfield.

Despite grappling with numerous key players on the sidelines, the Reds displayed resilience by triumphing over Chelsea in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley.

The drama continued with Darwin Nunez’s dramatic 98th-minute goal against Nottingham Forest on Saturday, securing a thrilling victory and briefly reinstating their four-point lead at the top of the Premier League.

However, Manchester City’s derby win over Manchester United later narrowed the lead to just one point.

The upcoming week is laden with significance for Liverpool, commencing with a journey to the Czech Republic on Thursday night for the first leg of their Europa League last-16 clash against Sparta Prague.

This is followed by a monumental home clash with defending league champions Manchester City on Sunday at Anfield.

Liverpool have been handed a huge boost with Mohamed Salah set to resume full training on Tuesday, according to Daveockop.com.

Salah made a noteworthy return to action as a substitute, finding the net in Liverpool’s 4-1 victory against Brentford on February 17.

However, his comeback was followed by a bout of muscle fatigue, stemming from a hamstring injury sustained while on international duty with Egypt during the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in January.

Consequently, the 31-year-old has been absent from Liverpool’s triumphs over Luton, Chelsea, Southampton, and Nottingham Forest.

In anticipation of Saturday’s match at the City Ground, Klopp provided assurance that Salah, who has earned a call-up for Egypt’s upcoming training camp later this month, is expected to make a comeback at some point this week.

“I don’t think Mo is too far off, but he will not feature [at Forest],” Klopp said. “From there, we have to go. Touch and go, unfortunately, that stays the case with Mo for a little bit longer.

“But I think next week, at any point, it is possible. So he is on the way back, definitely, but not there yet.”

Salah has made 28 appearances, scored 19 goals, and registered 10 assists for Liverpool in all competitions this season.
