Alisson has been sidelined for the past 10 games due to a significant hamstring injury sustained in February, with Caoimhin Kelleher admirably stepping up in his absence.

Nonetheless, Klopp emphasised the importance of Alisson’s return, as Liverpool aim to vie for two more trophies this season in the Premier League and Europa League.

The specifics of Alisson’s injury have remained somewhat unclear as the 31-year-old was ruled out of this month’s friendlies against England and Spain.

However, during a candid discussion with supporters at the AXA Training Centre on Wednesday, Klopp disclosed a timeframe for Alisson’s anticipated return.

“Ali, another two-and-a-half, three weeks,” he revealed.

This suggests that Alisson may potentially return for the Europa League quarter-finals clash against Atalanta on April 18, or more realistically, for the Premier League fixture against Fulham on April 21.

With this timeline, Alisson could be in contention for the final six league games and a potential semi-final in Europe against either Benfica or Marseille.

Additionally, Klopp mentioned that Trent Alexander-Arnold is “still injured but getting closer,” while Diogo Jota was seen training separately with a ball, indicating his nearing return.

Curtis Jones was notably absent from training, while Mohamed Salah, Darwin Nunez, Wataru Endo, and Ryan Gravenberch were the only senior outfield players participating in full training.

Joel Matip took a significant step forward in his recovery from an ACL injury by running around the pitches for the first time, whereas Andy Robertson underwent a scan on his ankle.

Stefan Bajcetic continues to follow an individual training program described by Klopp as “his pre-season,” and Thiago and Ben Doak are in the process of recovering from long-term issues.
