After a disappointing season, Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool are set for a busy summer as they look to overhaul the Reds squad and get the team back in the hunt for trophies.

The German has acknowledged the need for change when the transfer window opens and he will be seeking multiple new options with Roberto Firmino, James Milner, Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, and Arthur Melo all having departed,

There was promising news for Reds fans on the transfer front on Monday with multiple reports claiming that a deal had been struck for Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder and Argentine World Cup winner, Alexis Mac Allister.

Strong links also persist to Khephren Thuram of Nice, Borussia Monchengladbach’s Manu Kone, and Romeo Lavia’s Southampton, and according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, a new name is also in the frame.

They claim that Liverpool are one of a list of potential suitors for Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic who could match the profile that the Reds want to add in midfield.

Whilst the Italian outlet claims that the 28-year-old has for a long time ‘wanted to join Juventus’, should the price tag creep above €30million, it may prove a stumbling block for the Old Lady and open up the possibility of a move to the Premier League with the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal, and others potentially interested.

The Transfer Room Verdict

Whilst the Serbian has the output and physical attributes to enhance Liverpool’s current midfield, they appear to be targetting players in their early twenties as part of their rebuild which could mean this deal is unlikely.
