Nottingham Forest 0-1 Liverpool

The match-winner Darwin Nunez

An enthralling week of football for Liverpool culminates in yet another last minute winner.

All things seemed to point towards a disappointing 0-0 draw, which could’ve seen both Manchester City and Arsenal overtake the Reds.

That was until a left-footed cross by Alexis Mac Allister in the 99th minute was met by Darwin Nunez, who rose highest and flicked a fantastic header into the bottom corner.

The goal sparked crazy celebrations in the Liverpool end, as the scousers start to truly believe in what is happening this season.

Nottingham Forest did have chances however at 0-0. Both Elanga and Hudson-Odoi had opportunities to put the hosts ahead, but another fine display by Caoimhin Kelleher kept them out.

Andrew Robertson and Cody Gakpo came close for Liverpool, but it was the substitute Nunez who made the difference.

Another tense but thrilling display by Jurgen Klopp’s men, who extend their lead at the top of the table to 4 points, before the Manchester Derby tommorow afternoon.

Next up is Sparta away on Thursday in the Europa League Round of 16 for Liverpool.
