Goncalo Inacio had been rumored to have agreed a deal with Real Madrid, but that has now been rubbished. The Portuguese defender is a hot topic, with several clubs looking to secure his signature in the upcoming windows.
Liverpool’s pursuit of a left-footed centre-back has been well documented and Inacio is one of the names on the list for the Merseyside club. Manchester United are also said to be keen on Inacio. Bruno Fernandes has been thought to have done some secret agent work on international duty.
There could be a battle between the two clubs for Inacio.
United & Liverpool Eye Inacio:
This is according to Fabrizio Romano, who has revealed the interest in Inacio from both Liverpool and Manchester United. United are waiting to see how Lisandro Martinez recovers from his injury before making a final decision on a defender.
If Martinez has a setback in his recovery, it’s felt a left-footed center-back will be targeted. If not, Jean-Clari Todibo at the right center-back spot is someone the club admires hugely.
Liverpool decided against Micky van de Ven in the summer and they may regret that now. Inacio is a player that has been on their list for some time however, and there is every chance they make a move in the coming months.
Newcastle are also interested in Inacio and have plans to spend big this winter and summer. The player’s preference is currently unclear.
Inacio will be a name to watch this summer. Real Madrid likes the player, but there is no deal done as of yet. His future remains open.
