Champions League football is back.

Liverpool Football Club play host to Italian side AC Milan on Wednesday when the two clubs meet in the Champions League group stage.

AC Milan have started out their 2021/22 campaign with three consecutive Serie A wins, taking all nine possible points.

While Jurgen Klopp and his squad are focused on preparing to face Stefano Pioli’s men, the club’s transfer department is still working non-stop.

Michael Edwards oversaw the successful transfer of Ibrahima Konate as well as several outgoings including Xherdan Shaqiri, Harry Wilson and Taiwo Awoniyi.

Despite beating Manchester United to Konate’s signature, many supporters believe that Liverpool’s depth is still lacking.

The Reds narrowly missed out on the signing of Saul Niguez who joined Chelsea on a season long loan with the option to buy.

Fortunately, it seems that one of Liverpool’s biggest summer targets is preparing for a transfer.

Leicester City’s Youri Tielemans has come out and said that he is open to a transfer and wants to keep all of his options open.

When speaking to Sky the Belgian midfielder said, “I’m open to everything.”

“The transfer market has just closed, but I want to keep as many options as I can open,” Tielemans continued.

Fabrizio Romano recently said that he expects a “big battle” for the Leicester City midfielder and that Liverpool will be involved.

In addition to that, Fabrzio doubled down by saying that Leicester City have had a new contract proposal on the table “for months” and that many clubs are interested for June 2022.

With Liverpool still yet to replace Georginio Wijnaldum, Jurgen Klopp would surely welcome the Belgian’s arrival.
