Liverpool soared to second place in the Premier League standings with a scintillating 4-3 victory over Fulham in a pulsating encounter at Anfield.

The action-packed clash saw Trent Alexander-Arnold’s magnificent free-kick finding the net via a deflection off Fulham goalkeeper Bernd Leno, providing an early lead for the Reds. However, the response from ex-Liverpool player Harry Wilson swiftly levelled the scores.

The home side regained their advantage through Alexis Mac Allister’s first-ever goal for Liverpool, but Fulham refused to back down, with Kenny Tete squeezing in an equalizer just before halftime.

With the scoreline balanced, the game took yet another turn when Fulham substitute Bobby De Cordova-Reid headed home, seemingly steering the match in the visitors’ favour.

However, Liverpool showcased their resilience as substitute Wataru Endo managed to level the score with a goal three minutes from time, setting the stage for a dramatic finale.

In a moment of sheer brilliance, Alexander-Arnold stepped up once again, delivering a superb strike from the edge of the box in the dying moments, securing an incredible win and maintaining Liverpool’s flawless home record for the season.

Adding depth to this enthralling encounter, the Managing Director at Adjust Studio, Joshua Wilkins (@Wilkins33), provided a comprehensive analysis focusing on Liverpool’s impressive performance. Wilkins specifically highlighted the exceptional form displayed by Trent Alexander-Arnold throughout the game.

What a performance by Liverpool! Your thoughts on the game?

Wilkins: Chaos really. I felt like we dominated but Fulham were clinical, it was a difficult game to read. I thought Gravenberch wasn’t at his best today. Gave the ball away too much but he’s still got great potential. I was disappointed with Mac Allister coming off as I thought he was playing well. Endo came on and changed the game for me, he scored, did the difficult work, and played brilliantly. I’d love to see him get more game time.

Trent Alexander-Arnold shined once again in his new midfield role. Should he be deployed permanently in midfield for the rest of the season?

Wilkins: Trent was insanely good. The best player on the pitch without a doubt and looked very comfortable in midfield and had a lot of confidence. I’d start him in midfield on Wednesday.

Liverpool conceded three goals against Fulham. Is this a cause for concern taking into consideration the absence of Alisson Becker and the performance of Caoimhín Kelleher?

Wilkins: No doubt Kelleher wasn’t at his best. I wouldn’t blame him for the goals. Liverpool’s defence wasn’t up to standard despite that.

Any changes for Wednesday night’s clash against Sheffield United?

Wilkins: I wouldn’t start Gravenberch I would start Endo. The second he came on he was solid and did a great job. He’s been underrated since he joined the Reds.
