Bruno Fernandes has criticised the referee Jon Moss after Manchester United’s loss to Tottenham Hotspur on the weekend.

After a decent start in the first half, United dropped off in the second 45-minutes and ended up losing by two goals to nil at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

There were two controversial penalty denials for The Red Devils, however, with fans and players alike feeling hard done by.

Club captain Fernandes spoke out on Stadium Astro after the game.

“They made a big thing of it last week (When Wolves were denied a penalty versus United). I want to see if they make a show of it like they did last week, also if Jon Moss also comes to our dressing room to apologise.”

“They (The referees) have to start doing interviews so that they can explain themselves.”

The 28-year-old also spoke on the big chance he missed, when he was passed the ball onto his head in the first half.

“I had a big chance. I have to score somehow. I looked too much at the goalkeeper instead of concentrating on the ball. I didn’t kick the ball like I should have. I have to at least make sure I hit the frame.”

He finished: “We didn’t miss so many chances against Wolves because we didn’t create so many. Today we did better in that regard, but we didn’t take them. Sometimes it’s not a question of how many chances you get but how many you score.”
