Business is underway at Anfield as Liverpool are close to making their first signing of the summer, one of which is set to be the busiest in years.

Midfield is the priority for the Reds and that is where they begin as they look to bounce back from a poor season.

Reports have linked many midfielders with a move to Merseyside, three topping the list being Brighton’s Alexis Mac Allister, Nice’s Khephren Thuram, and Borussia Monchengladbach’s Manu Kone.

The first of the deals set to be done is that of Premier League standout Mac Allister. The Argentinian led his club to their first European qualification in their history and his country to their first World Cup since 1986.

A Year To Remember

An incredible year to say the least for the versatile midfielder and is set to be even better according to reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Romano reports that Alexis Mac Allister is set to undergo his medical at AXA Training Centre ahead of his move from Brighton to Liverpool.

In recent days, the Italian journalist has stated that the deal will be way less than the initial £60m fee that was being reported.

Once the medical is completed, the deal will be finalized in the next 24 hours meaning Alexis Mac Allister will officially become a Liverpool player tomorrow.

Who will be following the Argentinian through the Anfield door next?
