Liverpool kick off their UEFA Europa League campaign on Thursday with a tricky looking visit to LASK in Austria.
Jurgen Klopp’s team have made a good start to the new season with four wins out of five in the Premier League and he will be hoping to see that good form transfer to the cup competitions.
It promises to be a busy period for the club with three games in just seven days across three competitions meaning the German will be looking to make the full use of his available squad.
Team News
Reds skipper Virgil Van Dijk is back in the squad after missing two games through suspension after his sending off in the victory at Newcastle last month.
Thiago Alcantara (hip) and Trent Alexander-Arnold (hamstring) are still not yet ready to return and Conor Bradley remains a long term injury casualty.
Klopp is expected to make changes to his starting XI with West Ham’s visit to Anfield in the Premier League just three days away. That could mean opportunities for the likes of Kostas Tsimikas, Wataru Endo, Ryan Gravenberch, Harvey Elliott, and Ben Doak.
Predicted Liverpool XI
Alisson Becker;
Joe Gomez, Ibrahima Konate, Virgil Van Dijk, Kostas Tsimikas;
Harvey Elliott, Wataru Endo, Ryan Gravenberch;
Ben Doak, Darwin Nunez, Diogo Jota
